Bachelor of Science in Information Technology
The field of information technology is rapidly growing as businesses become increasingly dependent on technology to operate effectively and efficiently. In fact, the Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates an 18% growth in the field through 2020. King University prepares a new, tech-savvy workforce through our Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (IT) online degree program. The online IT degree is designed for professionals who have earned some college credit and seek to finish their bachelor’s degree and enhance their industry knowledge.
The online information technology degree also prepares professionals for various technical career paths that require superior business skills as well as communication and critical-thinking skills. The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology is a must-have credential for any individual who seeks management or administrative and strategic positions within their organization, desires to pursue research or continue with graduate studies in the field. Our online courses are the same courses as those delivered on campus.
Students in King University’s Information Technology program have the opportunity to choose from one of the following concentrations:

Professionals who earn an online information technology degree are prepared to apply appropriate information technologies and employ appropriate methodologies to help individuals or organizations achieve their technology goals and objectives.

Program Details
This program is comprised of a 48 semester hour major (12 courses) and may be completed in an accelerated schedule of as little as 16 months. A total of 124 semester hours are required to graduate from King University.
Students that need additional core and/or elective courses to fulfill the 124 semester hours may transfer those credit hours from another accredited institution or register for core and elective courses offered each semester through the Pathway and Quest programs at King University.
Enrollment Requirement
Students must have previously earned 45 semester hours to gain admission into the online bachelor of science in information technology program.
General Education Core Requirements
A minimum of 30 semester hours in general education courses is required prior to graduation, including one course from each of the following categories:
- English composition
- College mathematics
- Science with laboratory
- Human culture (religion, psychology, sociology, foreign language)
- Humanities
- U.S. and global citizenship (economics, history, philosophy, political science)
